Furniture
In 2002 I helped a friend by sharing an Edmonton Fringe craft tent with her. Once I agreed to do that I had to figure out something to sell — and that’s when I started painting wooden furniture, starting with trays and stools and adding chairs, benches, tables and other wooden things. Although I loved it at the time, I only occasionally paint furniture now, not very often.
Also included in this gallery are some of the images I created for a mural at the Glenrose Rehabilitation Hospital. Although no longer there, it was about 300 feet long and wound its way down a long hallway in the paediatric section of the hospital. The images are of a marching band of anthropomorphic animals. I had fun making an animal for every letter of the alphabet and had them playing instruments – also every letter of the alphabet!
